A wonderful pub to visit in the winter to sit near the open fire or in the summer to sit in the beer garden.   Particularly after a long walk through the mountains.

The Hawkshead Brewery's showcase for beer with all their beer on the bar. 'Triffic. Very simply laid out. Brewery next door. They keep Kuppers Kolschi in the fridge behind behind the bar.

Good brew pub and my best man's local. Gets busy. Real brickwork, real stove for warming up next to & plenty of choice of real ale. A proper English pub. Good food too.

The worst beer festival I've been to. Almost all the beer had a barnyard taint to it. We tried 40 beers in all and only a handfull were as good as reasonable. How does that happen?
