pub

A smashing traditional style boozer in the middle of Manchesteri city centre but well hidden by the town hall.   So well hidden that I drank in here for the 1st time just just before Christmas '08 even though I'd lived in Manchester for 6 years in the '90's.

Nooks, crannies, wooden stools, tables & chairs make it stand out from the barn-like, glitzy lager palaces nearby.   6 real ales on tap, 3 of which I'd never tried before & 2 I'd never heard of.   Not an old man's pub, just unpretentious & utilitarian (by which I mean there is football results on the telly).

Additional: Beers seems to be ever changing with several beers from far afield each time I visit.
