A very friendly pub with character that sells pickled eggs & pies.   We all had Black Sheep out of the two real ales on tap & watched the football results come up on the telly.   Dispite the obvious Sunderland / Newcastle divisions there was nothing other than pub banter & despite our support for non-local teams (Wolves & Man Yoo) we had a conversation with the locals and were made welcome.
