Staying at the hotel nearby, the lady in Little Chef said there was a good pub across the dual carriageway.   I went over & found a corporate chain pub with 1 real ale - and an uninspiring one at that.   Mansfield Original Bitter is a bland, sweetish malty beer - bit like the pub, which was also fairly humdrum with a few people from the hotel, a few locals & more than a couple who had driven there & were sinking pints infront of me.

The hyperbole on their website reminds me of Clarkson's law - there are a million, billion pages on the internet; & they're all wrong.   An ordinary pub serving ordinary ale.
