Southern Ales

The following beers are typical examples of beers from the Southi of England;

Badger Original Alei - a brown, malty ale.

Exmoor Gold - one of the first golden ales brewed all year round, from Devon.

Fuller's London Pride - a light brown, hoppy bitter & one of the biggest selling beers in the UKi.

Hopback Summer Lightning - also, one of the first golden ales brewed not just in the summer.

Shepherd Neame Spitfire - a light brown bitter.   The brewery plays a lot on WWII patriotism for its advertisingi.

Wychwood Hobgoblin - A brewery who's beers are all distinguishable by the flavour given by the yeast variety they use.   A darker ale with a rounded sweeter taste.

I'm choosing them as good examples in that they are widely available and are widely enjoyed.   This is not intended as a review of them necessarily.
