The Great Flood!

Fri, 14/03/2008 - 00:08 — DM
History

On October 17th 1814 a huge brewery tank broke open in the parish of St Giles in London, flooding the local area.   It swept people off their feet and demolished 2 houses.   3500 barrels worth of beer was spilt (nearly 600m3).   Its enough to make a grown man cry!
