An unpretentious pub full of unpretentious people drinking Holts beer.   Holts Mild & Bitter on hand pull along with Holts own brand lagers, Crystal & Diamond from the keg.   Both ales are reasonable drinks - less so the lagers, but then Holts are famous for two things; cheap real ale & giving money to charity.

We went to the popular pub quiz on a Thursday night & had fun listening to the banter between the quiz hoist & local old geezeer Les.   The pub did have Big Brother on the telly with the sound turned off seamingly the entire time we were there, a faux pas in anyones book.
