An unpretentious pub full of unpretentious people drinking Holts beer.   Holts Mild, Bitter & a seasonal on hand pull along with Holts own brand lagers, Crystal & Diamond from the keg.   Both ales are reasonable drinks - less so the lagers, but then Holts are famous for their cheap real ale.   A good selection of the Holts seasonable beers in a bottle are kept in the fridge.

We went to the popular pub quiz on a Thursday night & had fun listening to the banter between the quiz hoist & local old geezeer Les.  

Having been to this pub several times now & on a weekend I have had my views confirmed - definitely unpretentious & friendly.
