Mon, 10/03/2008 - 22:40 — DMThere is an advert that annoys me. Its for Wychwood Hobgoblin beer and the tagline is "What's the matter lagerboy, afraid you might taste something?". Obviously pointing out that lager louts drink cheap fizz made of corn syrup with minimal taste. The response I would imagine from the lager louts would be "yes - old socks!".

Hardly any pubs have 24-hour licenses (Hotels & casinos have the vast majority) and even fewer use them, so the term 24-hour drinking is only used as an emotive headline by scaremongering journalists. Unfortunately the drip-drip-drip constant bombardment has meant that even the BBC uses the phrase.
Lower the legal drinking age
