Bored on a rainy night in Nottingham with the only other option being going back to my hotel with a bottle in front of the telly, I walked downhill to the canal side & the pub with my name on.
One of the oldest pubs in Britain & right next to my hotel, The Salutation is a rock pub that has a loud jukebox when there aren't bands.
My initial thought on seeing the fire limit of 525 as I entered the pub, was that this was going to be a lowest common denominator identikit pub & I would have my meal & leave.
